EVs Ireland

Coming soon

One listing. Multiple offers.

Tell us about your car once and get competing bids from dealers — instead of writing an ad, fielding every enquiry yourself, and negotiating alone against one buyer's opening offer.

Why

Selling privately shouldn't mean selling alone.

A private sale today usually means writing your own ad, fielding every time-waster who messages, and negotiating one-on-one against a buyer who has every incentive to lowball you on the battery. We want to make it a one-time submission that reaches multiple dealers instead, competing for your car, with a fast, independently verified battery check available if you want your listing to carry real proof rather than just your word. We wouldn't buy your EV ourselves — we're not a dealer — this is about putting you in front of the dealers who would. Nothing here is live yet; we're gauging interest before setting up a real dealer network.

What you'd get

Tell us once, not on every site

Submit your car's details a single time instead of writing a private-sale ad, fielding every enquiry, and repeating yourself across DoneDeal, Adverts, and Facebook.

A verified listing, not just your word

Add a fast, independently certified battery check to your listing — the same test category used across the industry, back in about 48 hours, so a buyer doesn't have to just trust you on the battery.

Competing bids, not one-sided haggling

Get bids from multiple dealers looking at the same verified car, so you're comparing real offers instead of negotiating alone against one buyer's opening lowball.

How this would work

  1. 1

    Tell us about your car

Make, model, mileage, and condition — submit it once, here.

  2. 2

    Add a verified check (optional)

A fast, independent battery health test you can attach to your listing — the same speed and certification a serious buyer would otherwise commission themselves.

  3. 3

    Get competing dealer bids

We put your car in front of multiple dealers at once, so you can compare real offers and sell on your terms.

By the numbers

13.5%

The gap AVILOO found in battery health between the best and worst examples of the same EV model at the same mileage, across 500,000+ independent tests — the gap a report closes for a buyer sizing up your car.

€100–150verified check cost

What a Flash battery check costs today if you add one to your listing — the same fast, independent test a serious buyer would otherwise commission on your car anyway, once you're already mid-negotiation.

FAQ

Is this live yet?

Not yet — there's no dealer network in place today, so we can't actually put your car in front of anyone yet. We're gauging interest and building those relationships, so registering your interest tells us what you're driving and we'll be in touch.

Would you buy my EV yourselves?

No — we're not a dealer. The plan is to put you in front of a network of independent dealers once those relationships are in place, similar to submitting to a trade-in network, except multiple dealers would see it at once, and you'd have the option of showing up with an independent battery check already done.

Has this been done before?

Yes — this is closer to Nettbil (Norway) or Motorway (UK) than a classifieds site: submit your car once, dealers bid competitively, you pick the best offer or walk away. Both are large, established businesses. As far as we've found, nothing quite like it exists in Ireland yet — every "sell your car" site here today is a single-buyer instant-offer service, not a multi-dealer bid.

What about cash-for-cars sites like ZuCar or Motor Buyer?

Those are single-buyer instant-offer services — you get one offer, often lower than a competing bid would get you, in exchange for speed and zero hassle. That's a fair trade if you want cash today; the idea here is for when you'd rather wait a day or two for multiple dealers to compete instead. See our Resources page for a list of them if speed matters more than price.

How is this different from a private sale on DoneDeal?

The idea is you submit your car's details once here, instead of writing your own ad and answering the same questions repeatedly — and that a verified battery check on your listing gets a dealer's attention faster than an unverified one, so you're not just another ad in a long list.

Do I need a verified check first?

Not to register interest — but a completed check is what makes a listing stand out once there are real buyers to show it to, since it's proof a buyer would otherwise have to take on trust. We'll talk you through timing once there's a real audience to reach.

Will this cost anything?

We haven't finalised pricing for putting your car in front of dealers — Nettbil charges the winning dealer, not the seller; Motorway charges the seller a fee only if the car sells. We'll pick a model and be upfront about it before anything happens. A verified check itself costs €100–150 if you choose to add one.

What do you do with my data?

Only what's needed to follow up on this and let you know once there's a real audience for your car. We don't sell your data to third parties. Registering your interest only requires your email and a description of your car — nothing else happens yet.
