EVs Ireland

Charging

Public charging networks operating in Ireland, grouped roughly by size and reach — no operator publishes an exact, current Ireland-only charge-point count, so treat this as an approximate grouping rather than a precise ranking.

Nationwide

  • ESB ecars

Ireland's largest, longest-established public network — AC, fast, and high-power DC chargers nationwide.

  • eStation

Self-described as Ireland's largest network — close to 2,000 charge points claimed nationwide.

  • EZO (formerly EasyGo)

AC and DC fast chargers at local businesses and destinations, particularly in smaller towns.

Regional / motorway

  • Applegreen Electric

Fast and ultra-fast chargers (50–200kW) at motorway service stations.

  • Circle K

134 chargers across 41 sites, expanding — EV charging at Circle K forecourts.

  • Tesla Supercharger

Doubling to ~124 stalls across 18 sites by end of summer 2026; primarily for Tesla owners, some sites open to all EVs.

  • IONITY

Ultra-fast chargers (150–350kW), concentrated at ~7 hub sites (mostly Circle K forecourts).

Emerging

  • InstaVolt

10 sites / 25 ultra-rapid chargers — first Irish sites only opened late 2024, still expanding.

  • Weev

Established in Northern Ireland; still mostly a border-region rollout in the Republic.

  • Source

UK-dominant network (346 chargers/35 sites UK & Ireland combined) with a handful of Irish locations so far.

  • ePower

Public high-speed charging network at shopping centres, rail stations, and motorway services.

  • Pinergy

Irish energy provider offering both residential and commercial/public EV charging.

  • GOcharge

Dublin-based fast public charging network (typically 22kW) across the Republic of Ireland.

  • Blink Charging

Pan-European network (formerly EB Charging); no confirmed Ireland-specific figures found.
